This policy explains what information Dog Parent Life collects, why we collect it, who helps us handle it and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.

1. Who we are

Dog Parent Life ("we", "us") is a small online business based in California, USA. We run www.dogparentlife.com, the Dog Parent quiz, our free resources and our digital guides for dog owners. You can reach us any time at hello@dogparentlife.com. Our mailing address is shown at the bottom of every email we send.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to give you what you asked for:

Contact details: your first name and email address when you take the quiz, sign up for a free resource or buy a guide.
Quiz answers: details you choose to share about you and your dog, such as your dog's name, breed, size, how many dogs you have, the area you want help with, your owner type and your quiz score.
Purchase details: what you bought, when, the price, your country and the payment method type. We never see or store your full card number.
Messages: anything you send us by email or direct message on Instagram or Facebook.
Technical information: basic data such as your browser, device and pages visited, collected through essential cookies that keep forms and checkout working, and through Google Analytics (see below). The quiz also saves your result, first name and email in your own browser so you can see your result again and so our checkout can fill in your details for you; that copy stays on your device.

3. How we use it

To show your quiz result and email you your result and free checklists
To deliver the guides you buy and send receipts and download links
To process payments and refunds
To answer your questions
To send occasional tips and offers if you signed up for our emails
To understand which pages and guides are helpful and improve them

We use your quiz answers to personalize the result, the emails and the guide we recommend. We do not use them for anything else.

4. Emails and unsubscribing

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it at any time and the marketing emails stop. If you bought a guide, we may still send messages about that purchase, such as your receipt or download links.

5. Payments

Payments are handled by our checkout platform and its payment partners (Stripe and PayPal). They receive your payment details directly and use them only to complete the transaction, prevent fraud and meet their legal duties. We never see or store your full card number.

6. Who we share it with

We share information only with services that help us run the business, and only what they need:

Systeme.io: hosts our pages, quiz, checkout and email
Stripe and PayPal: process payments
ManyChat: handles direct messages on Instagram and Facebook if you message us there
Cloudflare: runs our domain and forwards email sent to our address
Google Analytics: shows us how visitors use the site, such as how many people start and finish the quiz

We also share information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use Google Analytics to measure how our pages and quiz are used. It collects information such as pages viewed, quiz steps completed, device type and approximate location, and does not receive your name or email. We do not use advertising pixels, and if that changes we will update this policy first.

7. Cookies

Our pages use essential cookies and browser storage so forms, the quiz and checkout work, plus Google Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may then stop working. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. We do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals because we do not track you across other sites.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you are subscribed to our emails or are a customer. After that we keep only what we need for tax, accounting or legal reasons, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@dogparentlife.com. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm it is really you.

California residents: under California law you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request a copy; to ask us to correct or delete it; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it (we do neither). We will never treat you differently for using these rights. You can also ask, once a year, whether we shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing; we do not.

10. Children

Our site and guides are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use trusted platforms with secure (HTTPS) connections and limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

12. Visitors outside the US

We are based in the United States and our service providers store information in the US and other countries. By using our site you understand your information may be processed there.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, we will also tell subscribers by email.
